Questions & answers
How rooms, documents and connected tools work in TeamUP.
Rooms and privacy
Can everyone see my chat?
Room chat is restricted to that room's members. A public room can be discovered by other members of TeamUP, but finding the room does not give them access to its conversation. Direct messages are separate one-to-one conversations between the two participants. TeamUP staff have moderation and support responsibilities.
Does each room have a code?
TEAMUP rooms have a join code. The room owner can find it in the room's Team section and share it with intended partners. You must be signed in to join with a code. Once you are a member, you do not need to enter it each time. Keep the code private: a signed-in person who has it can join. Direct messages do not use room codes.
What is the difference between a public and private room?
Public rooms can appear in room discovery so potential partners can find a pursuit. Private rooms are not listed for general discovery. In either case, the conversation is for room members. The room owner manages invitations and membership.
Can several people work under the same company?
Yes. A company administrator can invite teammates and assign their roles. When signing up, a teammate can also request to join an existing company for its administrator to approve. They do not need to create a duplicate company or resubmit the company's verification documents. Plan limits apply to team seats and private workspaces.
Documents and schedules
Can I see a schedule inside TeamUP?
Yes. A project's Schedule section displays its meetings, deadlines and milestones. Toolbox also includes a Schedule Builder with a Gantt chart for schedules created in TeamUP. A Primavera or Microsoft Project link opens that external tool; it does not automatically import its schedule. Authorized Procore project connections can bring in supported schedule data after a successful sync.
Can a room hold a video meeting?
The room owner can add a Teams, Google Meet or Zoom meeting link. Room members use Join meeting to open the meeting with that provider. TeamUP does not host a separate video-conferencing service.
Connecting your tools
How do I connect a program I already use?
Open Settings, then Connected systems, and choose the provider. For a link-based tool, paste the workspace or folder URL you normally use and save it. For an account connection, sign in with the provider and approve the requested access. Procore and Autodesk also require your company administrator's setup, an account selection and a linked project. Check the connection status and last successful sync before expecting data.
Does saving a tool link bring in all its data?
No. A saved link opens your existing software. Account connections can read only the supported data you authorize: Microsoft and Google calendar events, or supported project data from Procore and Autodesk. Availability depends on provider setup and permissions. Accounting and CRM tiles currently open links; they do not import ledgers, invoices or contacts.
What if my connection says setup or authorization is needed?
Ask your company administrator to check the provider account, app installation and your permission to the project. Then return to Connected systems and complete the sign-in or account-selection step shown there. If provider setup is unavailable, contact Project TeamUP. You can still save a quick-launch link while account access is arranged.
Opportunities and company verification
Where do opportunities come from?
The board combines supported public sources, reviewed spreadsheet imports and opportunities posted by members. Public sources include SAM.gov, Texas and Pennsylvania DOT, FDOT Central Office, Alabama DOT when current proposals are published, and selected Bonfire agencies. Coverage varies by source. Use the source filter and original posting link to check the publisher's latest deadline and requirements.
What does a verified company badge mean?
TeamUP staff review the company's submitted documents before approving its verification status. Automated document checks may help the reviewer, but an automated result does not award the badge. Verification is not a guarantee of a contractor's work, insurance coverage or fitness for a particular project. Check the current documents and requirements for your job.
Will I be notified about messages?
TeamUP supports in-app notifications, mobile push notifications when device permissions are enabled, and an email digest for room messages according to your notification preferences. The email digest batches messages rather than sending an email for every post. Check Settings and your phone's notification permissions.
